Remembering where we came from
Time has a funny way of affecting the way a story gets told. Memory is a fluid thing and the stories you made as a young person have a way of meandering their way into something slightly different as time goes on and they get told told again and again, and again.
But once in awhile, you get a chance to revisit the places from whence those memories came; the physical touchstones of youth, home, past experience. And then, the sepiatone patina that’s colored them for so long drains from the frame of the still images in your mind to reveal the vibrant, unreal, technicolor epic beneath.
And it can be a wonderful journey.
